| | Randy was born and raised in Peoria, played Cello for 8 years including a small stint in Central Illinois Youth Symphony, and has a B.S. in History (May 2006) from Illionis State University where he played in both Jazz Ensemble I and ISU Combo I under the direction of Dr. Tom Marko. He has played bass for 9 years now. Randy has had the chance to play at both the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, Italy in 2000. Randy also played a very short stint on the Big Red Boat cruise ship to the Bahamas in 1999. Randy has played with artists/composers like Dominick Spera, Bobby Shew, Benny Golson, Dave Hoffman, John Campbell and the Peoria Jazz Band from Sweden. Randy is currently a memeber of the(Central Illinois Jazz Society)CIJS House Band, the Larry Harms Trio, and a freelance bass player playing both electric and double bass in Central Illionis. |
