Biography
I grew up around the central Illinois area, listening to and learning music from an early age. I attended Central Catholic High School and Decatur MacArthur High School, receiving great guidance from Doug Tidaback, and Jim Culbertson. I also was taking private lessons from John Hutchens and Perry Rask, while playing in the Heartland Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Thomas Shabda Noor. I now am currently attending William Paterson University, where I am studying with Don Braden and regularly performing with James Williams. Some of my greatest influences, both compostionally and improvisationally, are Chris Potter, Dave Holland, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Seamus Blake, Dave Douglas, Brad Mehldau, Zach Brock, Darol Anger, Billy Contreras, Bela Fleck,......and the list goes on and on, folks! While I am at school during the fall and spring, I would love to play while I am home in the summer, and during my winter break!
