| Dave Parkinson the leader, and Dave and the Dynamics have been performing their own particular brand of jazzy Rhythm and Blues together for many years. They are one of the most versatile and highly respected bands in this area and are capable of playing a widely diverse repertoire. Daves musical career spans from 1959 to the present. In 1968-1969, he played saxophone for the James Brown backup band that included appearance on the Merv Griffin show. Later he became part of the backup band for Hank Ballard and the Midnighters. His local career includes membership in Kriss Kross, a local jazz-funk band, and Jhaptel with Kenny Hirth, Ken Musselman, Steve Dagenford, and headed by Rich Richardson. Dave initiated Dave and the Dynamics in the early eighties. Dave is an exciting, versatile, high energy sax player. He can play anything, with anybody.
