| | Jake is a product of Central Illinois' fine music programs. He played piano in the Illinois Central College, Illinois State U., and Bradley U. Jazz Bands. First a drummer though in the Pekin High School and Jr High Jazz Bands and Marching Bands. He has played with many of the Peoria local musicians in some shape or form. Jake was a member of local bands such as "Dangerous," "River Rats," "The Seed Band (Chicago Area)," as well as a former member of the Fulton Street Quintet and the Jazz Society House Band. Never settling with one style of music, you could find him playing in almost any style club Jazz to Rock. Since August 2002, Jake has lived in Massachusetts where he has his own group playing his compositions. He also teaches jazz and piano privately. Like before, Jake still plays in Jazz, Rock, and Blues bands on the side (on keys or occasionally Drums). You can expect to see him sitting in with Peoria locals during the holiday seasons, for much of his family lives in Illinois.
