| | Tim grew up in Peoria and played in the Woodruff Jazz Band. As a HS Junior and Senior, he occupied the Guitar chair in the IMEA All-State Honors Jazz Band. He served with the US Army Band as a guitarist, bassist, percussionist, and vocalist retiring from Active duty in April 2008. During that time, he traveled worldwide sharing the stage with many Jazz greats over the years including Woody Herman, Buddy Rich (opening act), Slide Hampton, Mike Vax, Steve Houghton, Bobby Shew, and Ed Shaunessy, Bob Hope Orchestra, and more.
He regularly gets calls for several types of gigs. Most often, he is called by area studios to add Pedal Steel Guitar or Dobro parts to local bands' CD projects. He has several years experience working in the recording studio - primarily playing on Radio/TV production sessions, and local artists' demo recordings. He has most recently worked with Rock Solid Recording Studio, Splash Recording Studio, and Mirror Image Recording Studio. He also records from his home studio New Glory Recording, doing overdub sessions for clients all of the the US.
Tim is a member of the "Stone Cold Cowboys", "Spring Creek Station", "Matt Miller Band", and other groups in the Central IL area. In the past, he was in the "Peoria Acoustic All-Stars" and plays Pedal Steel Guitar, Dobro, and Electric Guitar. For the last few years he has been a part of the "Dan Fogelberg Celebration Weekend" in Peoria. Along with the other "Acoustic All Stars", he performs at Peoria Civic Center Fogelberg Concert.
He has performed in many pit orchestras for Peoria Players, Cornstock, Children's Comm Theatre, and local college/high school productions. He also plays guitar in the Worship band for Grace Presbyterian Church.
Currently available for combo, big band, recording gigs in the Central IL area.
