Jazz Nights in the Heights at Trailside Event Center, second floor of Trefzger's Bakery, 4416 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
"It's never too late to groovel" is a motto for sthe Kuchina Jazz Collective The Project was born from a deep respect for Latin Jazz, as this ensemble brings together Latin rhythms with interesting elements from Jazz to popular music to create an experience for the ear and the feet. For this CIJS performance they will be joined by Latin Jazz veterans Steve Crismore on guitar and Dan Oline, bass. Both Grismore and Oline were members ot the enowned Latin Jazz and Salsa Band, Orquestra Alto Maiz.
Culver is a Bradley University graduate who will be returning home from Germany for the concert. "It's such a privilege to have the opportunity to play music I love with great musicians." In Germany, Culver plays percussion and provides vocals for projects ranging from Jazz, Soul, and Funk to Blues & Latin.

The Central Illinois Jazz Society House Band will play during the first set, under the leadership of Larry Harms - sax
. The CIJS House Band features outstanding jazz musicians from the area. They will present a mixture of jazz styles. For more information visit www.cijs.org or call 243-1582. Bar provided but not food. New! You may bring food, snacks but no drinks, and we’ll see how it goes!
